The Cursus Iteritas Alia from Noise Engineering is a digital oscillator with dynamically animated wavetables. The newly released module is the successor to the Cursus Iteritas and is based on the ALIA platform. CIA generates its sounds based on the three wavetable shapes Daubechies, Fourier and Walsh. With the parameters Pitch, Center, Structure, Edge, Fold, Width and Tilt, the extremely complex and versatile wave spectrum is traversed. The module cannot and will not disguise its digital origins; it is reminiscent of PPG and Waldorf wavetable sounds in the best sense, but also Casio's
Alia is an oscillator platform which, like Versio and Legio, allows the software to be exchanged. You can access the Alia page via the Noise Engineering homepage, where you can find alternative firmwares free of charge.
