The DDJ RZ is a native DJ controller for rekordbox dj for the ultimate in flexibility and convenience. Tracks and sets can be prepared in rekordbox and then plug-and-play to perform directly from your laptop. The DDJ RZ is the exact hardware counterpart to the software, making intuitive, creative performances especially easy.
Low-latency jog wheels and on-jog display, multicolor performance pads and a 4-channel mixer provide touch control with optimal feedback. New features include beat parameter buttons, sampler cue mode, and sequencer mode that lets you record and loop pad sequences on the fly. In addition, the improved MIC channels deliver extra high-quality sound. Furthermore, the DDJ RZ offers a club-quality magnetic crossfader and the large jog wheels of the top player CDJ 2000NXS. The OSC sampler lets you record and manipulate preset oscillator samples, as well as load your own into rekordbox dj. Two USB sound cards and ports with a top-mounted and therefore quickly accessible switch make seamless DJ changes a breeze.
Since the launch of rekordbox 6.0 in April 2020, there are a variety of new features as well as a new subscription system with the three models, Free (free), Core and Creative (paid subscription - not included). The Pioneer DJ DDJ RZ acts as a hardware unlock device and activates Performance & DVS mode without having to subscribe to a paid plan.
