What does the RX12-HF Recoil Stabilizer do?
The Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizer is a unique solution for positioning loudspeakers that simultaneously eliminates the disturbing resonance coupling between loudspeaker and stand and provides a robust base that reduces the recoil caused by the forward energy of the loudspeaker movement.
How is the RX12-HF constructed?
Consisting of three basic components, the Recoil Stabilizer is essentially a platform for the speaker with a high-density urethane base that isolates the speaker from the shelf, monitor bridge or stand. This effectively decouples the speaker and prevents vibration resonance to the substructure. A heavy, laser-cut steel plate is manufactured and fixed between the isolation layer and a non-slip neoprene surface. The steel plate adds significant mass to the structure and serves to stabilize the speaker.
