The RME Octamic XTC 8 MicPre is the Swiss army knife of RME devices. An 8-channel microphone, line and instrument preamp with 192 kHz / 24 bit A/D conversion, AutoSet, 4-channel D/A conversion for analog or digital monitoring, and full MIDI control via USB, DIN and MADI - was still not enough for the RME developers. ADAT, AES and optical MADI act as outputs as well as full-channel inputs. Easy as well as fast patching with the help of the comfortable TFT display makes the OctaMic XTC also a full-fledged digital format converter. The quick access to all functions allows a lightning fast configuration. The complete current state can be stored internally and recalled by means of internal presets.
