SQUIER Contemporary Jaguar HH ST LRL Lake Placid Blue
Jaguar electric guitar from Contemporary series with SQR Atomic humbuckers and stop tailpiece
As part of the Squier Contemporary Jaguar HH ST Lake Placid Blue, Fender subsidiary Squier equips the famous Offset-Design for the most modern demands. Built from a poplar body with classic shaping and a bolt-on neck made of roasted maple, this electric guitar expands the Jaguar's tonal palette enormously without sacrificing the Jaguar's distinctive feel. For this purpose, the shortened scale length of 24 inches is used, and wide Chords and bendings go buttery smooth from the hand, while two Squier SQR Atomic humbuckers are ready for powerful sounds of rock. Smooth cleans and clear single-coil sounds are also not an issue due to their extended circuitry. On the upper control Plate a slider for coil splits and a series/parallel switch for different pickup circuits are available in the middle position of the pickup switch. Last but not least, the combination of an Adjustable Bridge and Stopbar offers audible advantages in terms of response and sustain.
With two SQR Atomic humbuckers, revised circuitry and Sculpted Neck Heel for better accessibility of the high registers, the Squier Contemporary Jaguar HH ST LRL Lake Placid Blue is equipped for the most modern demands.

Needed some fettling out of the box. Action was high and supplied with 9 gauge strings. Too light for the 24” scale in my opinion. But I changed the strings to 10s, lowered the bridge and adjusted the pickup heights and now I’m very happy with the guitar. Tuning very stable. Coil tap and series/parallel switching only seems to have a mild effect on the sound at low home-use volumes and haven’t had chance to use it in a band situation yet, but all pickup positions very useable both clean and dirty. Also very happy with the professional service from DV247 and by far the best price I could find anywhere!

It's a fun guitar to play, the only thing keeping it from a 5 star rating is the damage to the paint work. Mine had lacquer cracks in the neck pocket ( common on bolt on necks) but also on the body, from transit. It needed setting up out of the box , most guitars do so it's not a big deal. The neck is great, little on the thin side but really comfortable.
