Paranormal Rascal HH in Sherwood Green
The Paranormal Rascal from the Squier Paranormal Series combines the elements of classic Fender instruments and presents itself as an expressive E-Bass with modern features in the well-known "Designed by Fender" style. Two Wide Range Bass humbuckers deliver an assertive growling sound at the amplifier and can be adjusted via a 3-way circuitand master volume and tone controls. The sturdy poplar body in the style of the VintageFenderBass VI is quad-bolted to the maple neck and shines in unison with the matching Coronado bass-style headstock in crisp Sherwood Green. A fretboard made of Indian Laurel adorns itself with Offset-Dots and 21 frets in a 9.5"-inch radius, while the shortened 30"-inch scale length creates comfortable playing conditions. Furthermore, thanks to a string-through-body Mustang Bass bridge and four Vintage-Style tuning tuners for a robust pitch is provided.
The double humbucker equipment as well as the slightly shortened scale length of the Paranormal Rascal makes it a handy electric bass with impressive look and sound.
Everything about this bass is perfect. The design, pickups, color, fit and finish. It a marvel for a squier to be this good. Only docked a star on Craftsmanship because I detected some uneven frets on close inspection. They did not hinder the playing or setup much, but I checked anyway and noticed a few frets not perfect. Nothing problematic. But just to say, its not completely perfect, just like everything. But at this price, its way more then what is expected.
Hats off to the creators of this bass
