The Vintage V6SSB Electric Guitar, Sunset Sunburst... Soulful, Sweet-Toned, Articulate.
The Vintage V6 Series features the new Wilkinson® WVC original specification vibrato featuring authentic bent steel saddles for that classic sparkle and tone, precision machined pivot points for total “return to pitch” accuracy, and a stagger drilled sustain block to prevent string hang-up. A vintage bend, push-in arm completes this definitive vibrato system.
Attention to authentic tone continues, with the use of a matched, calibrated set of Wilkinson® Alnico single coil pickups; using a reverse wound, reverse polarity middle pickup for clarity and dynamics and featuring staggered edge, staggered pole pieces for focus and definition.
Featuring one volume and two tone controls, the five way lever switch and control circuitry are configured for maximum tone, evenness of response and output for supreme versatility.
The Vintage V6SSB Electric Guitar main features include:
Better spec than the Mexican strat and £200 less. Great playability & tone straight out of the box.
I did my research with reviews of guitars on the same price point, and excluding passionate brand people. This model came as the best in terms of cost/ benefit.
And I was not deceived....what a beauty. The vintage look is gorgeous. The lignea rosea (fretboard) seems very reliable, and the finishing of the guitar is stunning. For sure you buy what you pay for, but you get a good finishing ( just the pickguard that could be better finished on the bridge).
The neck is smooth and not glossy, so to allow free movement for a sweaty hand.
The sound is very straty, Wilkinson alnico v pickups do not disappoint.
Definitely recommend.
Very nicely finished, good tone, great action, stays in tune with the locking tuners. Overall great value.
Overall great but the action needs adjustment and the strings are quiet cheap and also the whammy bar is too stiff but the sound, the pickups and the neck are wonderful.
The Vintage V6 Re-issued is a wonderful instrument for it's price. I had a couple of other Vintage guitars in the past and they did not disappoint either. The V6 is feels and plays as good as my Fender Player Stratocaster, at a more affordable price.
