Tape Stop from 2HP is an effect module that simulates the iconic sound of a tape coming to a standstill. DJ turntables with adjustable motor deceleration times produce the same effect. Over a period of up to four seconds, the virtual tape comes to a standstill, creating an artifact-rich Mix of pitch-down, slowing of the audio signal with the sound finally stopping. Genres from HipHop to jungle and IDM use this effect for transitions and to end tracks; now it is also available in the Eurorack modular system. The effect can be synchronized to the clock and used with precise timing. The TRIG button can be used to activate the effect manually, while the socket can be used to trigger it precisely with a Gate signal.
