Blue Microphones Mikey Digital for iPad/Phone/Pod

The Blue MIKEY digital is a dual capsule iPod, iPhone and iPad condenser microphone, allowing you to record high quality audio on the move.

The Blue MIKEY digital uses a pair of custom-tuned Blue cardioid capsules on a rotating hinge, allowing for stereo recording across 230 degrees.   With a line input, USB pass through and three gain settings to accommodate both low and high level sound sources, the Blue MIKEY digital can be used to record live gigs, interviews and instruments alike.  This iOS microphone is your one stop solution to mobile recording.

The MIKEY digital has a staggeringly wide frequency response for such a small and lightweight microphone, at 35Hz – 20kHz.  Recording at 44.1kHz/16bit, the MIKEY digital is compatible with a wide range of recording apps, including GarageBand, Jammit and Music Studio Lite.

The Blue MIKEY digital comes with a 30pin Apple connection, making it directly compatible with iPod touch 4th generation or earlier (requires iOS 6), iPhone 4S or earlier, and iPad 3rd generation or earlier.   However, the Blue MIKEY digital can also be used with an Apple Lightning Adapter making it compatible with iPod Touch 5th generation or later, iPad 4th generation or later, iPad Mini and iPhone 5 or later.  We are still waiting for confirmation on compatibility with iPad Air and iPad Mini With Retina Display.
