The piano notes for the new album "Seven Days Walking" by Ludovico Einaudi, released on 15 March 2019, three and a half years after "Elements" and a triumphant world tour. "Seven Days Walking" consists of seven chapters, seven days (Day One, Day Two to Day Seven). The first issue contains the music of "Day One". In each of the seven chapters of "Seven Days Walking" the recurring main motifs are repeated in very different ways - seven variations following the same imaginary route.
Einaudi tells us that the inspiration for the whole project came during some winter walks in the mountains: "In January last year I often took long walks in the mountains and always followed more or less the same path. It snowed violently and I let my thoughts run free in this storm, in which all contours, exposed from the cold, lost their contours and colors. Perhaps this feeling of extreme originality gave rise to the idea for this album."
