The Gladio SC from the premium pedal manufacturer Cornerstone from Italy is a 1-channel preamp that is equipped with an additional clean mix control in addition to parameters such as volume, Tone and gain, putting full control of the dry and wet clean ratio in the hands of the user. The idea behind this is that the pure clean signal should be equally integrated into the Drive to create an assertive dynamic ratio. The Clean control allows the Clean signal to be continuously mixed into the Overdrive effect, resulting in a broad sound character. The integrated compressor, which can be switched on using a central toggle switch, is suitable for limiting the highest transient attack and simultaneously increasing the volume of the sustain. The combination of the clean control and the compressor enables a dynamic sound ratio, allowing personal sound preferences to be adjusted in detail.
