The LTD JH-600 Black Jeff Hanneman Signature Guitar, the late thrash metal icon of the band Slayer who passed away in 2013, is a riff machine designed for hefty rhythms and brutal leads. Equipped with two active EMG 81s and 85s, the instrument delivers powerful humbucker tones in both neck and bridge positions, and features an ultra-slim maple neck in an Extra Thin U profile that provides the perfect foundation for fans of cultivated shred. Jeff's favorite appointments include his Signature Jeff Hanneman "H Dagger" Inlays in a 24-fret Macassar ebony fretboard and a Kahler hybrid tremolo system for classic trem techniques like dive bombs and squeals. Last but not least comes the ESP LTD JH-600 Black Jeff Hanneman Signature including ESP LTD Hardshell Case.
LTD are the entry level models for ESP, however at ~£1300, this certainly isn't what I would call entry level. It's simply a superbly made guitar. I think if the headstock had ESP on it, rather than LTD, I honestly think you'd be hard-pushed to notice the difference. I have/had a custom Jackson Soloist Pro, Charvel 5a, Les Paul Studio, and this is easily up with all of them. The finish is excellent. The action is very low yet there is no buzz from anywhere on the fretboard. It comes with D'Addario 9s out of the box (which I will likely change for 10s). The EMG pickups sound fantastic (I'm using a Marshall CODE amp). I'm jealous of the guitar, as the included hard case looks more comfortable than my bed!
It arrived in good time and very well packaged with no damage to either the guitar or case.
I'm in New York. The shop is in Germany. They had the only one left in the world, basically. I ordered it from them and it arrived safely and in great condition. It was a pleasure to do business with them and would happy to do it again.
