Elektron Digitone is a digital 8-voice, multitimbral synthesizer in desktop format. It combines FM synthesis with a classic subtractive signal path, making it ideal for creating unique sounds. Of course Digitone fits into a computer-aided music setup.
The perfect addition to sound
With its 8 digitally generated voices, Digitone offers the perfect complement to Electron's previous synthesizers and consistently rounds off the sound palette. Thus Digitone is perfectly suited as a melody synthesizer, for arpeggios and for playing chords. Digitone has a lot to offer in terms of sound and the sound palette ranges from crystal clear FM to dirty, distorted sound collages rich in overtones. The FM synthesis, which seems rather complicated due to its numerous parameters, is simplified by a meaningful selection and combination. This is followed by a versatile multimode filter to further shape and model the sound. The sound is rounded off by high-quality send effects and overdrive in the master channel.
Electron Sequencer
Of course Digitone is equipped with electron sequencer. In functionality and operability of the sequencer, Elektron has set a standard by which everyone must measure themselves. Parameter locks as automation per step, sound or preset changes per step are only the best known features.
I love this machine, and it’s sound engine. And most importantly, music creation is only 50% of the joy, the other half is pure performance. I strongly suggest this machine to anyone who wants to explore the world of sound design, and enjoys performing after programming.
Im only still finding my feet with the digitone but it has a depth of possibilities thats is truly amazing. Not to mention its compatability with hardware and softwear, simply amazing. great product.
