Mahogany & AAA curly maple veneer
As a special visual highlight, Epiphone gives each Les Paul Standard '60s a solid maple top, which is finished with a premium grained AAA-quality curly maple veneer and is skillfully set off by a transparent finish in classic Gibson colors. Naturally, the body is made of solid mahogany and glued to a Slim Taper '60s neck, also made of mahogany, to provide the tried and tested playing characteristics of the Les Paul from headstock to neck heel.
Epiphone ProBucker Pickups
With the two Epiphone ProBucker-2 and ProBucker-3 pickups in the neck and bridge position, the slightly hotter wound versions of the popular pickup from Epiphone are used. They produce traditional LP sounds that really know how to cover all the areas of application of a Les Paul, from articulate jazz cleans to the iconic 'Woman Tone' to the juicy rock board. Epiphone has not skimped on the components of the Les Paul Standard 60s, as evidenced by the high-quality CTS potentiometers made in the USA, a self-lubricating GraphTech nut and six high-quality Grover Rotomatics on the headstock for absolute tuning stability.
