With the Fender George Harrison Tribute Rosewood Telecaster , Custom Shop master builder Paul Waller pays tribute to the silent Beatle. With Fender George Harrison Tribute Rosewood Telecaster Master Builder Paul Waller created a modern interpretation of the legendary Rooftop Tele of the silent Beatles.
Traditional construction on Palisander -basis
For the construction of the Fender George Harrison Tribute Rosewood Telecaster Paul Waller uses carefully selected Palisander . While the body is made of four parts of this precious wood, separated by a maple veneer, the thin fingerboard is glued to the arching of the neck using the " Round Laminated "-method. This multi-barred construction promises increased stability and underlines the crispen Palisander sound.
Carefully selected Palisander materials are used for the construction of the Fender George Harrison Tribute Rosewood Telecaster .
Slight modifications for harmonious design and playing comfort
In contrast to the Original Rooftop Tele , Paul Waller widened the neck of the Fender George Harrison Tribute Telecaster by 1/8" (3.18 mm), creating a modern playing comfort that is underlined by the " Oval C" profile and silky finish. Even complex chords can be played relaxed on this unique guitar. To give it Telecaster a harmonious appearance, Paul Waller also used the classic "spaghetti Fender Logo " of the early 1960s, which was designed as a Waterslide Decal and placed closer to the saddle to make room for the String tree.
The back and top of the body are separated by a thin maple veneer. Abigail Ybarra returned from retirement to manufacture the pickups.
Handwound pickups from Abigail Ybarra
After two years of well-earned retirement, Abigail Ybarra Fender Custom Shop returned for a short time to produce the Fender George Harrison Tribute Rosewood Telecaster , bringing all her experience to bear in the creation of the pickups for this particular guitar. The two hand-wound and signed Single coils of the Rooftop Telecaster convince with their particularly clean, airy sound, whose distinctive dynamics and concise response bring every chord and every melody to life. The proven Telecaster circuit with a 3-way switch and Master Volume and Master Tone controls is also available for controlling the pickups.
