Based on Mike's prized 1960 Stratocaster, the Mike McCready Stratocaster uses an alder body and a classic bolt-on maple neck with an extra slim 'C' neck profile. Also matching the era is the rosewood fingerboard in slab construction with Aged White dot fingerboard inlays and 21 fretsinmedium vintage format. Last but not least, the classic 3-Colour Sunburstnitrocellulose finish features a unique Road-Worn treatment to match the original in every detail.
Custom Mike McCready '60s Single Coils
The fact that Fender has spared neither expense nor effort to get as close as possible to the uniquely energetic sound of the original with the Mike McCready Stratocaster is proven by the three Fender Custom Mike McCready '60s Single Coil pickups specially designed for the model. All three pickups are tuned to their respective positions and clearly aimed at producing the authentic sounds that defined not only the band Pearl Jam, but also grunge as such. Last but not least, the additionally installed treble bleed circuit preserves the full treble spectrum even at lower positions of the volume knob.
