With the re-issue of the 1960s classic Gibson Hummingbird Original AN, the traditional Montana-based American manufacturer Gibson presents a versatile electro acoustic guitar in dreadnought style with the signature hummingbird pickguard giving the guitar a unique appearance. An all solid construction consisting of a Sitka spruce top and a mahogany body produces a very powerful clear and warm tone, especially in the low and mid frequencies, making the guitar the perfect singer-songwriter instrument. The wafer-thin nitro lacquer and a scalloped X-bracing complement the warm note of the Hummingbird and give the material the possibility to vibrate freely. A short mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard ensures excellent playability. Thanks to a 43 mm nut width and a 628.6 mm scale length, the Hummingbird offers excellent access to all 20 frets and enough space to easily master even the most complex fingerings. The headstock, typical for Gibson guitars, is equipped with golden Gotoh Keystone tuners, which not only guarantee precise tuning, but also, in combination with the characteristic company logo, embody the worldwide known Gibson spirit. For amplified use, the Hummingbird features an L.R. Baggs pickup system that reproduces the acoustic sound unaltered and naturally, with a volume and tone pot hidden in the upper part of the sound hole. The Gibson Hummingbird Original AN Guitar is delivered including a case.
