Global Truss developed the silencer, this silencer is a rubber damper that is simply attached to the crosshead bolt. This attenuator reduces the volume when hammering the crossheads by half and significantly attenuates high frequencies, which occur when metal meets metal. The Global Truss Silencer is manufactured using a special rubber compound that makes the silencer flexible, yet hard enough to effectively transfer the force of a hammer and protect the material of the bolt and the hammer. The silencer also protects the crosshead when it lies on the ground. On black traverses, the silencer also covers the silver bolts.
