With the Gretsch JD Parlor Delto TSPG BLKT, the manufacturer presents a Parlor acoustic guitar that is perfect for a successful introduction to guitar playing or as a practical second instrument for professionals. Inspired by the legendary models from the 30s, 40s and 50s, the Jim Dandy embodies a unique vintage charm that is reminiscent of traditional guitar music and will delight nostalgics. For a great sound experience, the beginner's guitar is made of laminated Sapele, which produces a powerful acoustic sound, while an ergonomic neck profile and the easy-grip design guarantee maximum playability. Thanks to the built-in pickup and furthermore an attractive design, the instrument is even completely suitable for the stage and ensures successful performances.

Laminated sapele body

The laminated Sapele top, back and sides produce a bright sound with a clear warmth in the mids and basses, while the classic Parlor construction additionally supports the radiant, overtone-rich sound. The result is a perfectly balanced sound that clearly articulates every single note, making it perfect for fingerpicking and complex chords. These sound characteristics make the guitar suitable for a wide range of musical styles, including country and folk. This is why music legends such as Joan Baez, for example, prefer to use a Parlor guitar, which brings out the best in their smooth and delicate runs.

High playing comfort

In addition to its compact design, which sits comfortably in the hand, the shortened scale length of 610 mm also ensures absolutely comfortable playability. The short scale length creates less string tension, which means that less force is required when picking. This is an enormous advantage, especially for inexperienced fingers, as chords and tone sequences are much easier to play. Another advantage is the ergonomic C-profile of the Nato neck which allows a comfortable hand position at any point. The walnut fingerboard also contributes to the effortless gliding of the fretting hand over all frets thanks to its pleasant feel. Pure playing pleasure is further guaranteed by the nickel-plated die-cast open-gear tuners, which ensure high tuning stability, while the compensated bridge inlay produces a flat string action and thus clean intonation.

Gretsch Deltoluxe soundhole pickup

In order to be able to present the great sound of the Gretsch JD Parlor Delto TSPG BLKT on stage, the guitar is equipped with the Gretsch Deltoluxe Soundhole pickup. This pickup, specially developed for acoustic guitars, captures the natural tone of the instrument perfectly and transmits it to the amplifier absolutely unadulterated. In addition, it is visually completely discreet and does not interfere with the harmonious design of the guitar. Inspired by the classic systems of the 1950s, this pickup represents a masterful fusion of time-honored aesthetics and modern technology.

Noble design

The Gretsch JD Parlor Delto TSPG BLKT offers ambitious and style-conscious beginners a master-class design in addition to its great sound and overwhelming playability. While the top has a luxurious black semi-gloss finish, the back and sides have a traditional natural semi-gloss finish that tastefully highlights the fine grain of the tonewoods. Together with the popular Tortoise pickguard with "G" graphic, Tortoiseshell bindings and a decorative rosette with gold and white rings, the manufacturer demonstrates its attention to detail and incredible expertise in the art of guitar making.
