With the Ampero II Stage, Hotone is sending a true amp modeler all-rounder into the race, offering practical functions that provide a great deal of convenience, especially for stage use. Additionally, the amp modeler provides tons of other functions that make studio or home use just as convenient. With eight footswitches, a beautiful design, and a 5" touchscreen, the Ampero II Stage shines on the outside with the real highlights being inside of the device itself. Offering more than 460 internal effects, 90 amp and 68 cab models, 50 third-party IR models and numerous modeling functions, the Ampero II Stage is a true all-rounder for live, studio or home use.
The Ampero II Stage offers further modern functions designed to make it extremely convenient to use. In addition to the conventional input and output jack, there is an additional FX loop for external effects, a separate input for expression pedals, a MIDI in/out and a USB-C 2.0 input, allowing the Ampero II Stage to be used as an audio interface for PCs and laptops. The use of the interface welcomes all recording scenarios and can be used as a pure vocal interface via the XLR input or the use of external amps, mixers or separate interfaces/preamps. The possibilities for home studios are nearly limitless. At the same time, eight footswitches and an input for external footswitches (such as the optionally available Ampero Switch) enable convenient setting changes during live use, allowing seamless switching between amps or effects.
Other highlights include an integrated stereo looper with a recording time of 60 seconds and an internal drum computer with 100 rhythm patterns - solo performances, spontaneous jam sessions or capturing song ideas has never been easier. The Ampero II Stage also supports Bluetooth, which means that the amp modeler can also be controlled via apps. Spontaneous setting changes during live performances are easily done. If you want to use the settings of other Ampero II Stage users, you will find countless patches from the Hotone community in a suitable software for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android - you can upload your own settings via one-click sound sharing and let other
Very well built, extremely responsive touch screen - like a very fast smart phone. Before buying it, I thought it would be like a touch screen of a printer, but no, it is an extremely fast touch screen.
The buttons are high quality metal.
It has a plethora of high quality amps, cabinets etc. to chose from.
You can filter the noise generated by overdrive, when the instrument is silent, using noise gates in the chain - so you won't have that annoying buzz in the speakers.
I have not done any software updates so far, although they are available - I didn't need them so far.
It has a phantom power microphone input for condenser microphones - one of the features that I wanted for the product - and you can also use it as an audio interface.
It is a very good product and I am happy with it.
