The body has lots of tiny imperfections, due to the type of wood used, but the sound, especially the sustain, is excellent. Hangs nicely on the st rap, not head-heavy like some basses. Just needs flat-wound strings, IMO.

I purchased this because it was cheap and I wanted a cheap bass to leave out in my Man Cave to save lugging a bass down the garden when I fancy a little noodle, for the price and the fact that it is a 3/4 size bass I wasn’t expecting to much, well what can I say this little thing is a beast, it’s well crafted, the hardware is good quality but most surprisingly it sounds really good! I know Ibanez products are usually pretty good but as this is the cheapest most entry level model they produce I expected it to show, well it doesn’t, I find myself picking this up more often than I pick up my Fender! If you’re thinking of buying one of these I can whole heartedly say that you won’t be disappointed, for less than £160 you are basically stealing this, honestly cannot believe just how good it is and I’m self admittedly very fussy when it comes to instruments too, well done Ibanez, great service from dv247.com too, despite COVID-19 their level of service and speed of dispatch was still top notch, 6 days in total from purchase until it was in my hands and that’s coming from Germany to the UK too, great work, thank you 👍

Overall the instrument is well-built. The only complaint is I can't set proper intonation on A-sting, because the screw limits saddle movement. Replacing the screw with a shorter one should do the job.
