The J & D Bass guitar JB Mini See Thru Blue has been inspired by the popular Fender Jazz basses and its 29” short scale length makes it the ideal instrument for the younger bassist or even the proficient bassist who’s looking for an easy-to-play instrument. Built to a high standard, the solid Alder body has a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Two single coil pickups help to deliver a tone that punches above its weight and of course its size! This bass astounds with its bold rock sounds but it also can provide authentic reggae tones with great ease.
The short scale and the C-profile of the narrow neck make for an extremely comfortable and playable instrument for young beginners of bass, but also a practical solution to intermediate bass players that want to travel without the constraints of a full sized instrument. Indestructible vintage-style hardware in the form of a classic bridge and traditional open mechanisms complete this great value bass setup.

I use it almost a month and I can say it is a nice sounding mini bass, just what I wanted.Stock setup is way off my standards and the fret edges needed a little sanding.
Mine isn't blue, but greenish like on the pictures.I guess the whole batch is greenish, because musicstore even uploaded new pictures.Previous were really deep, beautiful blue...but who cares..my greenish blue bass is sooo pretty it really looks high class vintage.
A short scale jazz bass is a 'rare bird', and this was just what I wanted. It needed a bit of a set-up and new strings, but is now fun to play. Thin fast neck adds to the fun. The look of the thing is surprisingly good for the price. It is only slightly longer than a standard Strat and very easy to take anywhere without worry.
Its my first short scale bass guitar but i do recomment it as it is very well made and sound very good (if you set it to your preferences) for the small amount of price that you pay!
I have it almost a month now and play everyday, its fun to play, looks are 10/10 and very compact to travel.
I have mostly Fender USA basses. I wanted something small, light and cheap to take on holidays etc. This bass seemed to get good reviews so I thought I'd take a chance. Well, how they do this thing for basically a hundred quid is beyond me. The strings are rubbish but they always are - I've never bought a bass that didn't need to be re-strung. Otherwise - the tuners hold tune, the nut is perfectly cut, the action is well adjusted with no buzz, the fretwork is very good indeed with no sharp ends, the costmetics are perfect - do dings' dents' scrapes, scuffs or scratches and no lacquer runs, nice pearloid pic guard, solid bridge and the pickups are - well - they are MONSTERS!! AS punchy as my USA basses. Controls a tiny bit stiff but work very well indeed. It's a horrible slang word and it's a cliche too, but I have to say I'm 'gobsmacked' by this little bass. Ludicrously good value and delivery was not only free, but very swift and by a good courier (DHL rather than the dreaded Hermes). I'm still in shock as it was only delivered two hours ago. Amazing. 100% recommended.
I've been learning to play bass for a year and a half and have 5 basses, 6 if you count the garage sale bass I started with that had a bent neck and action so high you could drive a compact car between the strings and the neck. Shortly I will be down to 2 or possibly 3 - partly because of this bass.
Firstly, hard to find shorty JBs so kudos there. Secondly, for the cost I would expect blemishes or even an all around mess of a guitar, which I'm happy to say this is not the case at all! Aside from some sharp fret wires the fit and finish is flawless. Will you have to make some adjustments to get the sound you want? Sure, but I don't think you can find a bass perfectly set up to your playing style and tonic requirements.
I'm replacing my Squire Affinity JB (which cost twice as much) with this bass because I have some range-of-motion issues that make it painful to reach the first couple of frets. That should tell you everything you need to know.
