La Bella SS45-B Bass Strings, 45-128 Super Steps

After playing many strings trough years I go back to my first years on my bass. First good strings that I bought then were Labella Super Steps strings. And now I said to myself lets go back and try Labella super steps again but now on 5 string bass. I werent disappointed . From the box they are sounding like worn in strings. They dont have nasty top as other stainless steel strings.They reminds me on nickel.They have sustain for days and they are nice on tuch and soft.I have tuned them half note down and the intonation is still great. They are very even sounding strings. They are best sounding and felling stainless strings I ever tried . I was playing flatwounds for past 3 years and Labella super steps are like them considering roundwound string noise when playing them.
For this price you cant beat them.
And now the bad point.
If you will put this strings on your bass you must set bridge very high to compensate hight loss because lack of windings near the ball. There is just a raw inner wire on saddles.
But as I said is worth all the time you have put in the set up with this strings.
They are so good I will buy another set soon to have them before they go out the shop
