The Mapex Mars MA528S 5-Piece Shell Set is a 5-piece shell set, made of 100% birch wood, and includes a 20"x18" bass drum, a 12"x8" TomTom, 14"x12" + 16"x14" Floor Toms, and a 14"x6.5" Snare Drum, with a tomholder, and multi clamp. With the Mars Series Mapex has revived one of their most successful drum series. And just like back then, the current range offer the Mapex Mars Drums with new upscale amenities and features suitable for professional players, but now available to more inexperienced or intermediate players. Probably the most far-reaching innovation in relation to the Mars Drumsets of time represents the Soni Clear bearing edge. Due to the strong curvature of the edges, the support surface of the skin increases to the boiler.

The increased contact causes a greater power transmission from the fur to the boiler, which the powerful and deep Mars tone emphasizes percussion boiler and highlights. Finally, this type of bearing edge facilitates the voices of Mars Drums. The tom mounts from the Mars Drums provide minimal contact with the Toms thus allowing an almost unlimited resonance behavior and are thus part of this forceful and assertive Mars sound. The Mars Drums are made of 100% Birch. Known and loved the drumming community Birch is due to its focused, attack-rich sound with fast response and clearer sound projection.
