With the Sterling by Music Man StingRay RAY35 Mahogany RW Black, the subsidiary of the Californian active bass pioneer presents a 5-string version of the legendary StingRay electric bass offering an extended range and all the features of the original. The combination of a mahogany body and bolt-on maple neckwith six screws promises a powerful sound that perfectly integrates the low B-string into the sound, while the slim "C" neck profile provides great playability.Plugged into an amp, the humbucker placed in the sweet spot, whose coils can be called up in various combinations using a 3-way switch, delivers multi-faceted bass sounds with high assertiveness and clean reproduction of the low B. In addition, the Sterling by Music Man StingRay RAY35 is equipped with an active 3-band EQ for precise adjustment of the timbre. This is really good instrument. Soundvise it is great, I had ErnieBall MusicMan for comparation and this is allmost the same instrument without compensated nut and with cheaper battery compartment. Frets could be done better but it is still good. Good 3-way switch and 3-band eq for wide versatility of sounds. Beautiful QM finish! Great MM for the price!
