Audient is entering its second round with the popular iD14USB audio interface, following on directly from the huge success of its predecessor. The updatedsuccessoriD14MKII delivers improveddynamics and frequency response thanks to newconverter technology, while two Class-A microphone preamps from Audient'shigh-end ASP8024 HE console provide that certain something. The audio interface is connected via a USB-C port, which also improves the power supply and simplifieshandling.
Practicalfeatures of the predecessor have been adopted and continue to contribute to the fast work with the DAW. For example, the housing remains robust and"Audient-typical" with controls on the top to ensure an easy workflow. Phantom power, monitormix and monitorpanningfunctions, as well as iD Control knobs with ScrollControl for DAWintegration are all within easy reach, while levels can be read quite easily. Rounding out the overall home recording package is a comprehensive ARCsoftware package that can be downloaded after purchase.
