For the construction of the Clover Argo 4, Clover uses carefully selected woods. Accordingly, the body is made of alder with an intensely grained maple top, while the sixfold screwed neck is made of Canadian maple and carries a rosewood fingerboard. The comfortable "C" profile of the neck and the wide cut cutaway guarantee unhindered playability over all 24 frets.

On the Clover Argo 4 two single coils of the American noble forge Nordstrand are used as pickups. Accordingly, the amplifier offers a multi-faceted spectrum of first-class sounds, which makes the bass the absolute all-rounder for music styles between funk, rock and metal. The pickups are complemented by an active 3-band tone control, which allows precise interventions in the character-forming frequencies.

The Clover Brass Bridge, for example, sits on the body and guarantees precise intonation of the strings. From the bridge, the strings are guided with the typical 34" Longscale scale (864 mm) towards the headstock, where Gotoh tuners guarantee an exact and stable tuning.
