The Cranborne Carnaby HE2 is an innovative stereo harmonic EQ that adds a new dimension to sound. It is based on the concept of the Carnaby 500, an EQ circuit that uses harmonic saturation to boost and cut frequencies. The Carnaby HE2 offers three interactive bands per channel, each creating a different type of harmonic to match the frequency band. This can add warmth, sparkle and character to audio sources, stems and mixes.
The Carnaby HE2 is not only an analog EQ, but also a digitally controlled device that can be remotely controlled and stored via network. With the Control Plugin, all parameters of the Carnaby HE2 can be conveniently set and called up from the DAW. The device's potentiometers are also surrounded by colored LED rings, which directly indicate the level at which the controller is currently set. The device can also be operated in mid/side mode to process the middle and sides of the stereo signal separately. The device takes care of the necessary encoding and decoding so that no additional M/S equipment is required. The Carnaby HE2 also has one insert per channel, which can be used to loop additional outboard hardware into the signal path.
The Carnaby HE2 is therefore a versatile and creative HarmonicEQ that gives
The low band is a bass filter that operates between 20 Hz and 420 Hz. It creates a second harmonic that gives the
The mid band is a center filter that operates between 200 Hz and 6.2 kHz. It creates a third harmonic that gives the midrange more presence and clarity. Here too, the frequency and level of the band can be adjusted using the corresponding control. The mid band is a peaking filter with a fixed Q.
The high band is a treble filter that operates between 5 kHz and 25 kHz. It creates a fifth harmonic that gives the treble more air and brilliance. The high band is a shelf filter with a gentle slope and can be adjusted via a control.
