Mutant stainless steel handpan from Fame with 16 tones
The Fame Masters Series Handpan Seven D-Kurd is a hand-tuned stainless steel handpan in D-Kurd tuning. This mutant handpan model has 16 notes, 12 on the top and 4 on the bottom (bottom notes). The instrument produces a balanced and powerful tone at 440 Hz. The Fame Handpan is played with the fingers by striking the differently tuned playing surfaces. The diameter of the handpan is 22" (54 cm), so it can be played comfortably on the lap. The D-curd of the Fame handpan comes with the following tones: (C3) D3/(E3) (F3) (G3) A3 bB3 C4 D4 E4 F4 G4 A4 C5 D5 E5. The meditative, calming tone can be used for therapeutic purposes as well as for meditation. The professional FAME FHPB-P Handpan Bag Pro is included in the scope of delivery.

Handpan Seven from Fame in 440 Hz with bottom notes
The central keynote of handpans is in the middle, surrounded by a circular choir of sound fields. The individual playing surfaces are under pressure and are tuned by hand to 440 Hz; if the sound fields are now struck briefly with the finger, the entire handpan is set in vibration and a linear, spherical tone with singing sustain is produced. A special feature of this handpan are the bottom notes on the underside. They expand the playing possibilities enormously and offer the player completely new possibilities.

Like all Fame handpans, every Handpan Seven is checked for workmanship and sound quality before delivery and then given our seal of quality. Since these are instruments with a high proportion of handwork, slight color deviations compared to the product image are possible.
The technique of playing a handpan is comparatively simple to learn: the playing surface is struck briefly with the fingertip, the faster the hand is then pulled away, the more beautiful the sound produced. At a more affordable price than most handpans its good for those with lower budgets and interested beginners however the quality is excellent so shouldn't put off professional players either. Comes with a good bag, one review mentioned the shoulder straps were too short to wear as a rucksack however I found it fits fine and at 6" reckon it would fit most people fine. Overall a great product.

As a person who has played percussion foe 32 years this is a beautiful made instrument with very hipnotic sounds, once you start playing either tunes or rtythms you, ll never want to put it down.

The sound and tone is excellent, very easy to pick up and play quickly without prior experience. I picked it up very quickly, looks beautiful also. The only knock is the back pack carry case it comes with, the back straps are not long enough to be at all useable, you can't actually use it and have to hold the handle to carry it. Apart from that, all excellent, there were a few slight marks to the finish, but overal that makes no difference to the tone
