FAME Patch Cable Kit Solderless
Set for producing individual patch cables without soldering
The Fame Patch Cable Kit Solderless is a must when setting up a proper pedalboard. From a total of three meters of high-quality cable and ten jack plugs, you can easily build five patch cables of individual lengths with the enclosed tool, without having to preheat the soldering iron.
I run about 14 pedals into a switcher all connected with George Ls. On a recent re-design I ran out of cable. Gl cable is around £5.50 per metre. I needed about 4m...Then I came accross these sets...hang on ..3m cable...plus 10 jacks that can do 90 degree or straight..with heads that are smaller than George ls...saving me more space on my board..for less than George l cable alone...oh got to be worth ago. So not the best made but nothing wrong with them...my only issue is they can be fiddly to get perfect connection. Once sorted I had .1- .3 ohms max on my multimeter..so the same as GL's. Finishing board tomorrow and as long as they keep my sound good got to be the bargain of the century.
Works great. Never had a problem with making the joints and it saves a lot of space because they are so compact. I'd make the whole pedal board connections out of this!
Very simple to use. Simply cut to length, cut sheath using supplied cutter, push in cable and screw on jack base. Only did one bad job, and just trimmed it down again and used the same plugs.
