Traditional construction with high playing comfort
For the construction of the American Special Strat, Fender has relied on the concept that has been tried and tested since 1954. An alder body meets a screwed maple neck, which is made in one piece and carries 22 frets in modern jumbo format. In combination with the 9.5" fretboard radius, these allow unhindered string pulling, while the "Modern C" profile lies comfortably in the hand.
Hot Single Coil Pickups with Greasebucket Circuit
Equipped with hot Fender Texas Special Single Coils, the Fender American Special Stratocaster delivers a powerful sound that never misses the typical bell-like Strat character. The pickups follow the player with lively dynamics and present every note with vivid depth, with tight bass, vocal mids and transparent highs in both the clean and overdrive channels for high assertiveness. Thanks to the "Greasebucket Tone Circuit", the highs can be reduced without the low midrange taking over and making the sound appear dull.
Fender American Special Strat with traditional hardware
Last but not least, the Fender Limited Edition American Special Stratocaster MN Walnut offers traditional hardware equipment with indestructible reliability. As a bridge, the proven Fender Vintage Style Synchronized Tremolo is used, which allows gentle tone shimmer as well as the fat modulations of wild surf rock. The strings are countered on the headstock of Fender Standard Cast/Sealed tuners, which guarantee lasting tuning stability thanks to their encapsulated construction.

American Special with the texas special pickups. I love the very smooth neck and my favorite is the jumbo frets which make it so easy to play and bend. Just about everything a man could ask for in a guitar. Such a huge step ahead of Mexican/other fender imports. highly recommend you go American. Special is the entry. It's discontinued now but you can still find them. thank you fender for a great guitar.
