Structure and hardware
With the help of its spider coneresonator, the Fender PR 180Eresonatorguitar produces a steely and midrange-rich sound that is particularly suitable for bluegrass music. At the same time, the laminated mahogany body enriches the tone with pleasant warmth and additionally ensures fast sound development. At the same time, the short mahogany neck grants with Small-'V' profile the player optimal access to all 19 frets. These are set into a walnut fingerboard framed with an aged-white binding and decorated with filigree snowflake inlays. Nickel-plated open-gear tuners are inserted into the headstock, ensuring precise tuning of the 6 steel strings. In addition, the finely notched, 44.45 mm wide bone nut ensures clean intonation on the 635 mm scale length. So that the PR 180E can also be used on stage, a high-quality Fishman Resophonic pickup is built into the body. This transmits the sound directly and undistorted to the amplifier. Visually, the guitar is rounded off by an eye-catching Aged Cognac Burst finish, whose matte finish subtly emphasizes the fine grain of the tonewoods used. The scope of delivery includes a sturdy Fender hardshell case.
Was a bit reluctant to buy an acoustic guitar made in China, but the quality of this guitar is as good as any other Fender acoustic I have bought. Definitely value for money.
