With the Gibson 1974 Les Paul Custom Reissue Ebony presents the Gibson Custom Shop aus Nashville , Tennessee an authentic reprint of the Les Paul Custom 1974 one, which among other things wrote rock history in the hands of Rhandy Rhoads . Accordingly, the Reissue electric guitar also has a three-layer mahogany/maple body, a three-piece maple top and a three-piece mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, while the sound conversion is performed by two Gibson Super 74 humbuckers.
This Gibson 1974 Les Paul Custom Reissue is a detailed reproduction of the legendary electric guitar.
The volute reinforces the transition between neck and headstock.
Authentic construction with pancake Body
As an authentic reproduction of the 74s Les Paul Custom , the Gibson 1974 Les Paul Custom Reissue "Pancake" Body also has two layers of mahogany and a maple veneer. On it is the three-part maple top. The glued neck is made of mahogany with three stripes and has a volute at the transition to the headstock which reinforces this neuralgic area. As befits one Les Paul Custom , the fingerboard is also made of ebony with 22 frets and characteristic Block inlays.

Super 74 Humbucker
The pickups used on the Gibson 1974 Les Paul Custom Reissue two Gibson Super 74s Humbucker are the closest to the sound of the 1970s as no other pickup has ever come before. Wrapped with AWG42 wire and equipped with Alnico 3 magnets, these Humbucker amps deliver versatile sounds on both clean and dragging amps. While the neck pickup with its creamy tone is best suited for singing solos and carrying Rock ballads, the bridge pickup with its aggressive attitude sticks through every band sound. Both Humbucker are also waxed so that feedback and microphony are suppressed.
