Semi-acoustic electric guitar with Gretsch Broad'Tron pickups and V-Stoptail

The Gretsch G2655 Streamliner Center Block Jr Double Cut V-Stoptail Forge Glow Maple is a compact semi-acoustic electric guitar that impresses with comfortable handling and a wide sound spectrum between Blues and rock. The narrow doublecut body made of laminated maple delivers a warm woody tone that is insensitive to feedback even at high stage volumes thanks to the solid center block. At the amplifier convince furthermore the two Gretsch Broad'Tron humbuckers with a hot sound, which allows expressive guitar playing with lively dynamics and has a high assertiveness with the vocal midrange.

Received the guitar about 4 days after ordering, well packaged so for it not to be damaged, which it wasn’t. Received the Carry case a few days later. Perfectly happy with the order and the guitar. It’s well manufactured and feels, looks and plays just great.

Gretsch's roots in brighter tones are clear here even though the guitar performs at its best with high gain. Perfect for punk rock/ alternative and a myriad of genres.

Great entry level guitar

This a great guitar if you are looking to get that classic Gretsch sound at a reasonable price. There are a wide variety of sounds which can be achieved from it, from twang to a wonderfully warm break up with the help of an overdrive pedal. It is very light and comfortable to play. The only let down with it, and this is purely subjective, is that the gloss finish masks the detail in the wood and dare I say it, makes it look a bit cheap. A matte finish and lighter stain, in my view, would have lifted the aesthetics to another level.
