Tágh from Instruo is a well-equipped sample & hold module with a few special features. The range of functions leaves nothing to be desired and even goes far beyond the usual repertoire. The clock generator has two speed ranges and is adjustable within them. Alternatively to the internal Clock the Clock from another module or also a Gate can be used. If you decide to use Gate, a different voltage value is generated with each new note. If the module is in S&H mode, pressing the white key will interrupt Clock and hold the last requested value. In T&H mode, pressing this key will send the signal at the sample input to the output. The S&H circuit is fast enough to process analog bitcrush (via clock and sample in) with two square wave oscillators "cleanly". The noise generator is one of the most frequently used voltage sources in a S&H/T&H circuit and is of course also present in the Tágh and internally normalized to the sample input. Thanks to the noise output, the noise can also be used elsewhere in the Patch. Instead of the noise any audio or CV signal can be used at the sample input; this is enhanced by a level control and switchable rectifier. The latter flips everything up in the negative voltage range, thus altering the input signal. The stepped voltages can be smoothed with the Slew parameter, because the abrupt jumps generated with S&H/T&H are not always desired.
