A highlight of the Tyler Deluxe's sound design is the ability to smoothly add the unprocessed, clean input signal using the Clean control. This allows you to preserve the definition of every note played, even in effects-heavy sound experiments. Separate cut switches also allow the clean signal to be completely removed from the high-pass and low-pass channels, creating sounds with one hundred percent effect content. To avoid problems with the phase of the signal and to ensure the compatibility of the Tyler Deluxe with almost any effect device or amp, the pedal comes with its own phase switches for each channel and a master phase switch. Last but not least, the active Level control can be used to boost the volume of the output of the
