The MOTU UltraLite AVB is an 18x18 USB audio interface with AVB networking function. As a compact audio interface, the UltraLite AVB is very flexible and can be expanded as desired. For home recording or smaller studio applications, it is especially useful for outstanding audio recording and monitoring applications. MIDI I/O and optical S/PDIF I/O complete the UltraLite AVB's profile and give those who need digital channels the option to access them. The optical S/PDIF I/O can also be used as ADAT input and output.

AVB network and Standalone-Mixer application

The MOTU UltraLite AVB can also be connected to other AVB audio interfaces through the AVB Ethernet port, as mentioned above. This can be done either by a direct Ethernet cable connection from interface to interface, or by using the single MOTU AVB switch, which allows more than two MOTU audio interfaces to be connected simultaneously. In this way, any number of inputs and outputs can be added to an existing AVB network without much effort. The standalone mixer function of the MOTU UltraLite AVB completes the very flexible application profile of the audio interface, as it no longer needs to be controlled directly, but can be remotely controlled via a web app on iPhone, iPad, smartphone, tablet or laptop. In this way, certain parameters can be modified. This feature makes the MOTU UltraLite AVB very interesting for mobile applications, such as stage or general live applications. However, it is also very suitable for studios, as it can be easily expanded through the AVB network. Furthermore, it is also well suited for home studios, as the high quality converters and very good 24-bit/192kHz resolution allow for excellent audio recordings.

The small AVB audio interface for excellent recordings

As already mentioned, the MOTU UltraLite AVB can produce very good audio recordings. The audio interface offers 2 first-class mic preamps and 2 Hi-Z inputs for passive basses or guitars. The range is therefore very suitable for songwriters, musicians, pure instrumentalists and producers who do not need to record too many inputs simultaneously. All in all, the MOTU UltraLite AVB is a compact USB audio interface with flexible connectivity. It allows you to create outstanding audio recordings, use it as a standalone mixer and is easily expandable via the AVB network.
