As probably the best-known representative of neo-classical metal, Swedish fretboard wizard Yngwie J. Malmsteen relies on the sound of the MXR YJM308 Yngwie Malmsteen Overdrive, which was made especially for him. Equipped with two controls for Level and gain, the amazingly easy-to-use Overdrive pedal was naturally perfectly tailored to Yngwie's tonal preferences. Accordingly, it offers a powerful, yet always clear sound, and reproduces rapid arpeggios, expressive bends and lightning-fast shredding in all registers with astonishing transparency and definition.
