Rockett Animal OD Pro Series

J.Rockett Audio Designs was established in 2006 by Chris van Tassel and Jay Rockett. Over the years, Jay and Chris have become experienced session musicians in studios and live shows. When they noticed the frustrating lack of diversity regarding guitar effects pedals, they decided to create their own.

For this difficult task, Jay and Chris sought advice from professional session musicians to incorporate their honest opinion into the design of their own pedals. Their goal: To satisfy as many fellow musicians as possible. The optical appearance has also always been a crucial factor to them.

The Animal Overdrive represents J.Rockett's interpretation of the '68e "Plexi" sound. With its open and organic tone, the pedal resembles the original tone that feels like its archetype. The integrated "Snarl"-switch can be used to change between the classical Plexi and the "modified" version with more distortion and plenty of harmonics.

Despite its aggressiveness, the animal is a pure overdrive, not a distortion pedal.
