Full and powerful humbucker sounds are the profession of the Rockson Singlecut Amber. Featuring two zebra-look humbuckers, the classic singlecut electric guitar delivers the popular sounds of the original, from the warm singing blues tone in neck position to the screaming leads of the bridge pickup. The Rockson Singlecut Amber also follows the proven haptic design and promises a familiar feeling in all positions of the 22-fret composite fingerboard. In addition, the Rockson Singlecut Amber is made up of the classic Tune-o-Matic/Stopbar combination and solid die-cast tuners in a uniform chrome finish.
Fat humbucker sounds and a classic feel are the strengths of the Rockson Singlecut Amber.
The guitar is excellent. I bought it for my son, but, before he received it (birthday gift) it was thoroughly tested in two live gigs. The band plays in local pubs and the sound delivered by the guitar was excellent. Put through a Marshall stack, it came over with really nice, heavy sound. Applicable to covers of Exodus (Blood in blood out) and ZZ TOP (Tush and finishing with Shuffle in C), it held its own.
So I got this for a small project while stunning out of the box upon closer inspection you can find some areas where the price shows more as the
The odd sharp fret(with a little file you can sort this out yourself in no time so not an issue)
Different good grain at the back tells you it's not made from a solid piece of wood (you can tell from the back it was 2 distinct pieces of wood, 3 if you count the top piece)
The weight of the guitar is another factor. It is quite heavy looking and it really is heavy when you pick it up.
You get what you pay for but from this point is where it gets better and where things matter more.
The pickups - not half bad, combine this with the 2 tone/volume controls and it gives you some lovely control going from clean to nice and heavy without using any effect pedals. It gives you some nice warm tones as well as gain when you want/need it. Versatility really shines here.
It's nice to hold, did I mention it looks stunning?
This is a great guitar for anyone looking to start off or maybe looking to get a les Paul type guitar to learn how to use a different kind of setup. This is no les Paul but it's a pretty good guitar considering the price and with a little elbow grease and practice - it'll go far.
I don’t want to beat on this guitar because price is great and it looks fab... BUT... it’s unplayable due to intonation and fret buzz. It arrived today and out of the box the G, A and bottom E were all out at the 12th fret. A quick adjustment of the saddle and the G and A are just bout there. The bottom E however is massively sharp at the 12th fret and the saddle screw is at maximum adjustment. There is no further bridge adjustment at the main posts either. So basically the thing is out of tune from about the 3rd fret. A power chord on the 5th fret is out of tune. So it has potential but due to intonation is unplayable.. DV24/7 were awesome in terms of quick delivery.
I played on this beauty, my friend has it, next month it will be found in my collection too ... perfect lady, perfect tone, look and price that doesn't exist anywhere ... next month you are mine
