Precise signal transmission with exceptional bandwidth

The Rupert Neve Designs RNDI-M is a premium, active DI box that delivers studio-grade sound quality in a rugged, pedalboard-friendly format. Combining a discrete Class A FET input stage with a passive transformer for galvanic isolation it brings the unmistakable Rupert Neve sound into a compact, pedalboard-friendly format. Designed for maximum fidelity and versatility, it combines a with Rupert Neve's proprietary custom transformers for exceptional depth, dynamics and warmth.

The RNDI-M is ideal for high-impedance signal sources such as electric guitars, basses, synthesizers, keyboards, drum machines or instruments with piezo pickups. The extremely wide frequency range from below 5 Hz to over 90 kHz ensures precise signal transmission without losses - even with very low or brilliant signals.

Technical precision with musical character

Built for the demands of professional use, the RNDI-M features a rugged steel housing that protects its high-quality electronics – compact enough for any pedalboard or mobile studio setup. With an input impedance of 2.2 MΩ, generous headroom of +20.5 dBu and a transformer-balanced low-Z output, the signal remains clear, low-noise and rich in detail even over extended cable runs.

The discrete Class A circuitry is completely free of ICs or digital components, delivering an rich, organically musical tone enhanced by natural second and third order harmonics. The result is a sound that's smooth, nuanced and free from harshness – faithdul to your instrument's character with added warmth and depth.

Rupert Neve's custom transformer provides passive galvanic isolation, preserving full signal dynamics while preventing interference. Practical features like a ground lift switch eliminate hum from ground loops, and the THRU output allows for parallel routing to an amp or effects chain. Power is supplied reliably via standard 48V phantom power, indicated by a blue LED on the front panel.

Whether in the studio or on stage, the RNDI-M offers the highest sound quality, uncompromising craftsmanship and the legendary sound of Rupert Neve Designs in a handy format.
