Precise signal transmission with enormous bandwidth
The Rupert Neve Designs RNDI-M is a high-quality, active DI box that uses a passive transformer for galvanic isolation and brings the characteristic Rupert Neve sound into a compact, pedalboard-friendlyformat. Designed for maximum fidelity and versatility, it combines a discrete Class A FET input stage with Rupert Neve's proprietary custom transformers for exceptional depth, dynamics and warmth.
The RNDI-M is ideal for high-impedance signal sources such as electric guitars, basses, synthesizers, keyboards, drum machines or instruments with piezo pickups. The extremely wide frequency range from below 5 Hz to over 90 kHz ensures precise signal transmission without loss - even with very low or brilliant signals.
Technical precision and musical character
The sturdy steel housing reliably protects the high-quality electronics and is compact enough for use on Pedalboard or in a mobile studio setup. With an input impedance of 2.2 MΩ, an impressive headroom of +20.5 dBu and a transformer-balanced low-Z output, the signal remains clear, low-noise and rich in detail even over long cable runs.
The discrete Class A circuitry completely dispenses with ICs and digital components and delivers an organic, musically enriched sound with second and third order harmonics - pleasant and nuanced, without tonal harshness or distortion. The passive Rupert Neve custom transformer effectively isolates the output signal while maintaining full dynamics and clarity.
A ground lift switch prevents ground loops, while the THRU output enables parallel routing to an amplifier or effects unit. Power is supplied reliably via standard 48V phantom power, indicated by a blue LED on the front panel.
Whether in the studio or on stage, the RNDI-M offers the highest sound quality, uncompromising workmanship and the legendary sound of Rupert Neve Designs in a practical format.
