Luthier Andy Powers' goal in redesigning the 700 series was to significantly improve the response. With some creative ideas and common sense he succeeded in doing so in a remarkable way. The Lutz spruce was born from the crossing of Engelmann and Sitka spruce, which is used as the top of this Grand Concert. In addition, the floor and ceiling were tensioned.
