The Epiphone Limited Edition Korina Explorer Bass will bring a smile to the faces of rock and metal bassists in particular. The Korina construction promises comfortable handling due to its moderate weight, while two Epiphone Bass humbuckers on the amplifier deliver powerful sounds for pushing grooves.
For the construction of the Epiphone Limited Edition Explorer Bass, the Gibson daughter uses Korina for body and neck, also known as African Limba, which, despite its sheer size, gives the electric bass a comfortably manageable weight. Korina is very similar to mahogany in its tonal characteristics; it also promises a powerful primary sound that provides the perfect foundation for every groove. The neck has an especially slim "Slim Taper D" profile to ensure that every groove goes smoothly out of your hand when playing the electric bass.
The electric tone conversion of the Epiphone Korina Explorer E-Bass is produced by an Epiphone Bass XR humbucker on the neck and an Epiphone Bass XT humbucker on the bridge, which provide the right sound for every rock and metal band with their wide range of different timbres. The spectrum ranges from the extremely assertive tone of the Humbucker bridge to the pushing low bass foundation of the Humbucker on the neck. The pickups are controlled by a 3-way toggle switch as well as 2x volume and a tone control.
