The Fender American Professional Jazz Bass MN Sonic Gray represents the innovative workmanship that Fender Jazz Bass Guitars are famous for, since their first release in 1960. Powered by two Michael Bump V-Mod single-coil Jazz Bass pickups, equipped with alnico V treble magnets and alnico II bass magnets, this guitar delivers all the vintage warmth and crisp clarity that you would expect from a Fender Jazz Bass.
Playability and comfort are both enhanced on this guitar thanks to a slim modern “C”-shaped neck profile, a 9.5” fingerboard radius and 20 narrow-tall frets for a familiar feel. This neck is reinforced by Posiflex graphite rods that are embedded deep into the fingerboard and support against environmental influences that may warp or damage its integrity. A bone nut is included that enables this guitar to produce its classic tone.
This range of bass guitars contains new fluted-shaft tuning machines that enhance intonation and increase sustain by forcing the string windings downward and keeping them tight. This leads to a sharp, consistent break angle over the nut. A HiMass Vintage bridge also increases sustain. Each bass guitar comes with an Elite Molded hardshell case that provides safe and secure portability and storage.
