Electro-acoustic hybrid guitar with innovative concept
The Fender American Acoustasonic Telecaster All-Mahogany EB Natural once again proves that innovation is writ large at Fender. The electro-acoustic hybrid guitar embodies the modern zeitgeist that blurs the boundaries between instruments and genres. With the innovative "Stringed Instrument Response System", which relies on a mahogany body with recessed mahogany top and a "Tuned Waterfall Soundport", the guitar delivers a surprisingly grown-up acoustic sound despite its classic Telecaster dimensions. The "Acoustic Engine" developed jointly by Fender and Fishman also makes use of an under-saddle transducer, a body sensor and a noiseless single coil to provide ten different voicings between electric and acoustic guitar. Last but not least, the flat C-neck profile promises comfortable and buttery-smooth playing characteristics, while the saddle made of TUSQ ensures clean intonation and comfortable string placement.
The Fender American Acoustasonic Telecaster All-Mahogany EB Natural convinces with a smooth playability and first-class sounds between acoustic and electric guitar.
The American Acoustasonic Tele features a mahogany body with resonance chamber and a bolt-on mahogany neck in C profile.
Stringed Instrument Resonance System
In order to elicit absolutely authentic acoustic guitar sounds from the classic Telecaster design without compromises, Fender relies on the "Stringed Instrument Resonance System"(SIRS) specially developed for the Acoustasonic Series. Generous resonance chambers in the mahogany body, together with the recessed mahogany top and the specially shaped "Waterfall Soundport" in the sound hole, ensure a lively responsive sound with a silky treble spectrum, broadly placed mids and accentuated basses. In addition, the sculpted neck joint and comfortable C-profile make the bolt-on m ahogany neck easy to play all the way up to the highest registers of the ebony fingerboard.
While the "Tuned Waterfall Soundport" contributes significantly to the acoustic sound of the guitar, ten voicings can be accessed via the 5-way switch and the Mod knob.
Acoustic Engine
The electrical sound conversion of the American Acoustasonic Telecaster is handled by the "Acoustic Engine" developed by Fender and Fishman, which blurs the boundaries between acoustic and electric timbres. A Fishman Matrix Narrow Under-Saddle Transducer and a Fishman Acoustic Enhancer Body-Sensor capture the acoustic sound spectrum of the guitar, while a Fender Noiseless Single Coil contributes the electric timbres. Via the 5-way switch and the mod control, the integrated Preamp forms ten different voicings from this, which set no limits to the creative expressiveness.

Fender American Acoustasonic Telecaster All-Mahogany EB Natural
I have only had this guitar for a few days. My view is that it is a well made mass produced instrument with the benefit of modern manufacturing techniques like CNC and modern electronics. It also benefits from not having lacquer applied and it is very light. Playing and sound wise it is fun and links that experience of playing an electric acoustically but also generating good emulations of acoustic tone when amplified. The electric fender tone I still haven't quite got nailed as it's shown in countless Youtube demos. It is still early days for me to really explore it but I like the idea of getting quirky combinations from it and recording with it. Especially acoustic processed lots of my Stymon pedals and Valhalla DSP plugins etc . Also looping about with it in the house will be fun. I think its a little expensive even though I got mine at a very good price from dv247. The seafoam green is probably not to everyone's taste but I like it even more than I thought I would.

Been trying to learn on an acoustic guitar and seem to keep tilting it to see what I’m doing, I don’t do it with this being so slim bodied. Love this guitar, well made and looks great.
