Here, the classic construction with high-quality tonewoods is used first. Accordingly, the five-string has a body made of Okoume, which is connected to the maple neck via six screws. With the "Medium C" profile that fits perfectly in the hand, the Bass furthermore offers a high level of playing comfort, so that every groove comes out of the fingers with playful ease on the rosewood fingerboard. MFD humbuckers and the active Tri-Tone system offer an extensive sound palette. Last but not least, the G&L Tribute L-2500 features the massive G&L Saddle Lock bridge and precise vintage Style tuners.

With the combination of passive G&L Magnetic Field Design humbuckers and the active Tri-Tone system, the G&L L-2500 provides an enormous tonal variety, making it an all-rounder for every genre. Here, the MFD humbuckers convince with a powerful, balanced reproduction, whose basic character can be adjusted via the Series/Parallel switch. In addition, the active 2-band tone control for bass and treble can be bypassed if desired, so that the pure passive sound of the pickup is available.
