The Gibson 1964 Trini Lopez Standard Ebony Ultra Light Aged #120620 represents the ES-335 as played in its famous custom edition by Trini Lopez. All dimensions of the original, from the classic Diamond F-Holes to the characterful Non-Reverse Firebird headstock to the boldly designed 1964 neck profile, have been precisely recreated to recreate the sound, look and feel of the original in a historically accurate manner. In addition, the expert team from Tom Murphy's Aging Lab was commissioned to restore the replica from the Gibson Custom Shop with an authentic ultra light aging treatment including hardshell Case and certificate!

Semihollow maple and poplar body.

Following the classic design specifications of the original ES-335, the body of the Gibson 1964 Trini Lopez Standard Ebony Ultra Light Aged is composed of 3-ply laminated maple and poplar wood. Thanks to its semi-hollow construction with solid center block under the bridge, the 1964 Trini Lopez Standard Reissue is easily able to cover everything from transparent cleans with a warm woody note to creamy overdrive sounds.

Authentic '64 Mahogany Neck

In order to get as close as possible to the unmistakable feel of the original Trini-Lopez model, the Gibson Custom Shop analyzed the neck dimensions of historic Gibson instruments of the mid-sixties. The result is a strong Authentic '64 Medium C profile, which is used in the frame of the solid mahogany neck on the 1964 Trini Lopez Standard Reissue and provides from headstock to neck heel the appropriate basis for confident playing.

Custombucker Pickups with Alnico III Magnets

As a true offshoot of the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, the Gibson 1964 Trini Lopez Standard Ebony Ultra Light Aged features two Gibson custombucker pickups wound to classic specifications in the neck and bridge positions. Modeled after the legendary PAF pickups, the two dual coils feature Alnico III magnets and moderate output, making them extremely flexible tone shifters for clear and articulate cleans and creamy overdrive tones. All electrics are hand-wired and incorporate high-quality CTS potentiometers and paper-in-oil capacitors.
