Acoustic guitar, dreadnought, spruce top, Agathis body, 648 mm scale length, 43 mm nut width, mahogany neck, composite fretboard, high gloss finish
The J & D D-80 BK acoustic guitar is with its specifications particularly suitable for beginners, or for advanced guitar players looking for an affordable second instrument for use on the road. The manufacturer pays special attention to the function of the instrument, as this is fundamental for successful learning, especially at the beginning. Even if the appearance suffers a little here and there, the D-80 contains all the important cornerstones that are important when playing the guitar. Namely: easy playability, an authentic sound and smooth-running tuning mechanisms.
The D-80 with a classic dreadnought design.
Laminated materials and a non-slip neck
Thanks to a construction consisting of a laminated spruce top and an Agathis body, this large dreadnought acoustic guitar produces a warm and steely sound that unfolds very quickly. To give the instrument a classic look, the manufacturer limits the individual components of the body with simple white plastic bindings and a discreet black pickguard.
For easy playability, the manufacturer uses a mahogany neck with a composite fretboard, which can be gripped in an accommodating manner up to the highest of the 20 frets by means of a narrow nut width of 43 mm. Chrome-plated die-cast mechanisms with easy-to-rotate knobs round off the entire product perfectly and complete this thoroughly successful beginner's instrument.
Service and quality control
Even all very inexpensive guitars are carefully checked before shipping, if necessary reworked and tuned. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the appearance of instruments from the lower price ranges is flawless, because the sound and playability are the most important factors for us when selecting our reasonably priced products.
We therefore ask you to accept small optical processing deficiencies!
The J & D D-80 BK main features:
Dreadnought acoustic guitar
Laminated spruce top and Agathis body
648 mm Scale length
43 mm Saddle width
Mahogany neck with composite fretboard and dot inlays
I must say that I am a starter at playing the guitar and it doesn't feel bad at all to strum on it. The quality, of course, can't be that high but it isn't too low at all. As Music-Store is telling there could be little optical things that don't affect the playing. In my case, the neck has some scratches which are hard to see and the frets don't seem to be very attached to the neck. The saddle is 0,5 mm displaced on one site. For me, as a beginner, it doesn't seem to affect the sound and for this price, I think it is quite an option to start playing.
