The Meinl BBTA2-BK Backbeat Tambourine is a black tambourine featuring 4x pairs of stainless steel jingles with a hook and loop fastener. The Meinl BBTA2-BK Backbeat Tambourine can be placed directly on your drum head to increase your playing possibilities. The stainless steel jingles respond fully when the drum is struck and the frame is designed to rest naturally against the inside of any standard drum hoop. This tambourine is great for attachment to snare drums, timbales, and tom toms.?

Meinl Backbeat Tambourine BBTA2-BK, 13" - 14"I bought it to add some nice tambourine sound to my backbeat - this thing works, but does not add that much.
The attachment system is a bit weird - a piece of velcro that you are supposed to stick on your snare head.
I came up with a better idea - unglued the velcro from the thing and just put it on top of the moon gel pad, which is sticky enough to hold it in place.
Anyway - the thing does not produce that much sound, but perhaps I can find a way to make it work better.
