Bronze Gong from Meinl
The Meinl WGK24 Wind Gong "KUN 24" is a bronze gong handcrafted in the traditional Chinese manner and features the Kun symbol. Kun is one of the eight trigrams and is said to represent the earth and all things of a feminine nature. At the same time, it is also a pronoun for mother and woman. The gong is given an almost flat shape so that vibrations can spread strongly and provide a long resonance. The basic sound is rather low, but if you strike the gong strongly, it also develops wave-like overtones. A matching mallet and a cover for the gong are included.
